Introduction
Grindrod Terminals, A Division of Grindrod South Africa (Pty) Ltd is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner/ Co-ordinator within our Maintenance Department. This is a 3 month's contract with the possibility of going permanent.
Job description

  • Ensures overall adherence to the rotable/repairable process
  • Conduct maintenance performance analyses and reports
  • Responsible for Engineering Spares analysis
  • Responsible for the Maintenance Department adherence to Planned Maintenance
  • Enters actual times and material consumption, as well as measurement documents and technical confirmation data
  • Monitors the deadlines for notifications, orders, completion confirmations, and maintenance work
  • Monitors and regulates available capacity, capacity requirements and capacity planning for employees in the Engineering Maintenance Department
  • Works out the weekly Maintenance Schedule
  • Archiving of statutory records
  • Issuing of Job Cards to artisans and capturing of all related master data from maintenance teams
  • Support Line Managers with spares ordering and external resource planning
  • Responsible for all maintenance planning activities and reporting
  • Assist Finance department with various tasks
  • Responsible for routine work management
  • Shut planning
  • Document control and quality
  • Customer Stakeholder relationship
  • Adheres to Occupational Health and Safety
  • Adheres to all other relevant legislation
  • Maintain SHERQ requirements within area of responsibility
  • Maintain and enforce adherence to ISO systems requirements
  • Manage all contractor induction
  • Time keeping

Minimum requirements

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12/N3 Technical or NQF Level 4
  • Qualified Trade Tested Millwright/Fitter with 5 years hands-on experience in heavy industry
  • Certificate in maintenance Planning
  • Driver's license EC

  • SAP MM/PM knowledge
  • Must be computer literate
  • Capture all data related to stoppage to aid in determining root cause
