A position has become available at our head office for an Assets Controller.
Job description
To provide a single point of contact within the Terminal for gathering and disseminating information concerning the Terminal assets.
Key Performance Areas
Administration
- Check all equipment for any damages or faults.
- Keep all equipment clean and presentable.
- Check all repair quotes are valid.
- Inspect the quality of all completed repairs.
- Performed weekly inspections with the OEM.
- Monitor the driver behaviour.
- Collect and populate the daily machine hour meter readings.
- Contacting suppliers to attend to breakdowns and providing regular updates
- Follow up on all outstanding repairs .
- Monitor the weekly Equipment utilisation.
- Monitor the Equipment utilisation compared to the maintenance agreement .
- Compile weekly and monthly reports on the Equipment utilisation .
- Monitor the annual load test certificate and maintain that all load test certificates are current .
- Monitor the remaining duration of the Equipment maintenance agreements.
- Collect the monthly Asset verification form, from the Depots and maintain the verification history
- Compiling asset addition, transfer and disposal forms
- Perform quarterly independent asset verification with the Depot staff

Responsible for the administration of all compliance associated,

- Road Traffic Act
Communication
To ensure information, progress updates and reporting are channelled between the following parties;
- Terminal Management
- Suppliers and Contractors
Other duties assigned
Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support.
- May be required to perform duties
- outside the normal area to meet the goals of the Terminal
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- Matric
- Diesel Mechanic
Experience
- 1 year working in an administrative environment
- 2 year working in a workshop environment
Job Specific Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to Communicate at all levels
- Sound knowledge of computer systems and software packages
