Introduction
Grindrod Travel is looking to secure permanent services of a Creditors Controller, the successful candidate will join their head office in Durban. All suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for this vacancy.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
● Timeous and accurate daily and monthly reporting in terms of all aspects of the
Creditors function (including the company credit cards) ensures that all invoices
received from creditors are processed and paid timeously.
● Attending to creditor’s queries.
● Following up on outstanding statements and invoices from suppliers.
● Managing and reconciliation of credit cards.
● Banking and forecasting.
● Capturing payments.
● Invoicing.
● Assisting in both internal and external year-end audit by sourcing required
documents.
● Preparing creditors / expense / payment reconciliations for approval.
● Loading of payments and sending out of POPs.
● Maintenance of documents.
● Office administration.
● Creditors maintenance.
● Assist with ad hoc queries.

Minimum requirements
Qualifications
● Matric / Grade 12.
● National Diploma in Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping.
Experience
● 2 - 3 years relevant experience.
Skills and competencies
● Attention to detail.
● Understanding of statutory requirements (VAT).
● Deadline and target driven.
● Work efficiently under pressure.
● Willingness to learn.
● Proficient in Excel.
