Temp Creditors Controller (Namibia)

Job description
Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Verify valid invoices as per NamRA requirements
- Check invoices against Preferred Supplier lists
- Capture invoices into Accpac Accounting System
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of Supplier statements against Creditors Ledgers
- Forward recons and remittances to Suppliers to indicate payment made
- Follow up queries with Suppliers to ensure correct payment made
- Forward Outstanding lists of invoices not yet processed into Accpac Accounting System to relevant departments
- Follow up and action daily commentary and updates as received from the departments
- Follow up outstanding items 60 days and over
- Handling & reconciliation of petty cash
- Creating DHL waybills for parcels and or documents to be couriered
- Stock control and ordering of office consumables and cleaning materials
- Issuing Purchase Orders for branch related matters
- Preparing payment vouchers for daily payments
- Loading daily payments, when necessary, onto FNB
- Staff relief and assistance in the Admin Department
- Filing and Archiving
Minimum requirements
We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
Qualification:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Accounting qualification or studying towards a qualification
- Relevant industry related experience will be an advantage
Required skills:
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner, ensuring accuracy and neatness
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a pressurised environment
- Aptitude for figures and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Computer literacy required – (MS Excel Intermediate level)
- Able to work independently
- Strong coordination skills
