Grindrod Rail Consultancy Services (Pty) Ltd is looking to secure Temp Diesel Electrical Fitters to
join the Pretoria office. All suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for this vacancy.
Job description
The successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:
Key Performance Area:
- All services on a locomotive
- Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting
- Carry out periodic maintenance schedules.
- Do field service repairs on all type of diesel locomotives.
- Overhaul and rebuild all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance
activities. - Manage and ordering of required spare parts.
- General fitting and electrical work as may be required during business.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Trade Test Qualification (Red Seal)
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) – Six (6) years of experience as a diesel electrical fitter.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Medically Fit (Proof to be submitted)
- Must be able to work long hours
- Must be able to work at remote places
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual)
- Computer Literate
