Introduction
Reporting to the Transport Manager, responsible for overall performance of the client-based shift related to Bulk transport, execution, mine safety and compliance requirements.
Job description
Reporting
- Produce Monthly and Quarterly Transport Control Tower Performance reports for Clients and subcontractors.
- Manage deviations and execute corrective measures.
Operations Execution
- Manage day-to-day transport operations by allocating enough resources in line with client requirements.
- Internal Processes
- Management of the effective use of the TMS systems by both the staff and suppliers.
- Management of business unit compliance and service providers.
People and Talent
- Manage the Transport Control Tower team.
- Manage staff shifts in line with company policy.
- Manage overtime and fatigue effectively.
Business Growth
- Execute and process Transport Estimates, RFQ and Tenders .
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- BCOM in Logistics and Supply Chain is essential.
Experience
- 5-8 years’ experience in a senior Transport role in forwarding or related industry.
